Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how ChartMystic (“we,” “us,” “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use our website, indicators, AI tools, and related services (the “Service”). We take privacy seriously and try to collect only what we need to run and improve the product.
Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Account information — your name, email address, password (stored hashed), and your TradingView username so we can invite you to our private indicators.
- Billing information — handled by our payment processor. We receive a token, the last four digits of your card, country, and billing status; we do not store full card numbers on our servers.
- Product usage — events generated as you use the Service, including indicators activated, Scribe Studio prompts and generated scripts, page views, session metadata, and alert configurations.
- Communications — messages you send us through support, survey responses, and feedback you submit in-product.
- Technical data — IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring URLs, and cookie identifiers.
How We Use Your Information
We use information to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Service, including invitations to our TradingView indicators.
- Process subscriptions, renewals, refunds, and tax.
- Personalize your dashboard, alerts, and Scribe Studio sessions.
- Send transactional and service-related emails (receipts, security notifications, and product updates you opt into).
- Understand how features are used so we can prioritize improvements.
- Detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
- Comply with legal, tax, and regulatory obligations.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your Scribe Studio prompts or generated scripts to train models for third parties.
Data Retention
We retain information for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, and maintain business records. When data is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it. You can request deletion at any time (see the next section).
Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete the personal information we hold about you, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. You can exercise any of these rights from your account settings or by submitting a request through the in-product privacy controls.
You can also:
- Update profile and notification preferences from your account settings.
- Unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any message.
- Close your account at any time.
We will respond to verifiable requests within the timeframes required by applicable law. If you are in the EEA, UK, or a jurisdiction with similar rights, you may also lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (TLS), encryption at rest for sensitive fields, access controls, monitoring, and regular review of our vendors. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a breach that affects your data, we will notify you as required by law.
International Transfers
We operate from the United States and may transfer your information to countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards to protect information transferred internationally.
Children’s Privacy
The Service is not intended for children under 18 (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, notify us through the in-product privacy controls and we will delete it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If changes are material, we will provide reasonable notice (for example, by email or an in-product banner) before they take effect.
